What makes you different than any other dental practice I can visit?

A lot of things make us different. First, we complete a comprehensive examination of your teeth, gums, joints and other tissue in your mouth when you first visit us. We even create a digital photo album of your mouth using our digital x-ray and intra oral camera. That way, we can see everything going on in your mouth and show you what is happening as well.

From there, we create a customized dental treatment plan that is designed around your life. In this plan, we consider a number of factors, such as the stability of your bite and the structure of your jaw.

Finally, we treat you with high quality cosmetic and restorative services in a state-of-the-art facility that includes the latest equipment and is manned by a highly-trained and exceptionally gifted staff. To truly know what makes us different, however, we suggest that you stop in and see us. Or you can schedule an appointment by calling us at 808-944-1155.

I really do not like visiting the dentist. Is there anything you can do to help me relax?

It is said that there is nothing to fear except fear itself. We think that is the problem with a lot of dentists - they do not tell you what is going on in your mouth and make their treatments seem mysterious. When you do not know why a problem is occurring or why a treatment is being suggested, dentistry can seem a little scary.

Dr. Yoshimura takes the time to do an exhaustive examination of your mouth. With this exam, he can show you where problems are occurring and offer you options on what you can do about it. He can also use Caesy, the patient education system in our office, to explain why the procedures he suggests are the best for you. When you have the knowledge, you can work with Dr. Yoshimura to design a healthy and beautiful smile and maintain it throughout your lifetime.

We offer several cosmetic services to improve the appearance of your front teeth. Dr. Yoshimura is certified in Invisalign®. With this product, we place a customized retainer in your mouth. As you wear it over a period of a few weeks, your teeth will be moved into the desired position. Dr. Yoshimura may also recommend veneers, crowns or bonding to correct smaller problems with your front teeth.

What is Smile Analysis?

In a smile analysis, Dr. Yoshimura looks at all the factors that compose a smile: the shape of a smile, the size, the smile line; and the position of your teeth, lips, and gums when you smile. He listens carefully to your concerns and what you want to accomplish. Once we have this information, we can provide a custom smile design.

What is Smile Design?

Dr. Yoshimura can use his digital imaging system to create images of your new smile. He can also have his lab assistant create wax-ups of your new smile. From there, we can see what your new smile will look like and even let you test drive your teeth. We can then review the smile design results with you and discuss the next steps to make it happen.
